I watched this on Netflix in a teleparty on the 1st of July, 2025.
I was not expecting to like it at all and it was FANTASTIC, the animation was such a highlight! The characters were so expressive and comedic, with an interesting blend of 3D CGI and anime that harkened to Spiderverse but in a much more…modern? way?
The plot was engaging - it’s about a girl group (thinly modeled on twice I think) who moonlight as demon slayers in modern Korea, and their struggle against a newly formed boy band who are…you guessed it…secretly demons. There’s loads of fights to typically unsubtle kpop songs, excellent choreography and perhaps the best animated dancing I’ve ever seen, and genuinely laugh out loud moments. Plus an EXCELLENT romance between the two leads which honestly completely reignited my love of ridiculous fantasy love stories, I was so invested.
Silly in the best way, no deeper message whatsoever, completely brain dead, excellent 9/10 would watch again.
