A Bluer Shade of White is a rational! version of Frozen, where Elsa gives Olaf the power to improve himself. It very quickly (very quickly) departs from canon, and it’s essentially the classic benevolent AI takeoff scenario, but there are just enough elements of canon magic to make it compelling.
It also spends a lot of time characterising Elsa particularly well, especially some parts which weren’t strictly necessary for the main plot, but make it a better read.
It also delves into the policy and structure of the in-universe government, which is genuinely catnip for me (see PRojects IN Controlled Environments, version Sith 1).
