Purgatory is a dark!Percy x Artemis fic. I’m … a little embarrassed by this one to be completely honest. It’s kind of bad, and in retrospect the egregious mischaracterisations and kind of iffy relationships (which aren’t redeemed by their depth or written quality otherwise it would be alright) are serious negative points against it.
I included it here because I really liked reading it in my sort-of-dark-emo-wattpadesque phase, but honestly I’m not going to ever reread it, and I wouldn’t recommend you do either lol.
Essentially Percy is betrayed at the end of TLO and is cast into Tartarus, where he spends a few hundred years training and becoming insanely powerful, until he’s summoned by the gods to act as a protector/guardian for the hunt. It’s got a passable plot for a while, but then devolves into a seriously weird ending which feels like a dream sequence.
