By Cory Doctorow
The Things that Make Me Weak and Strange Get Engineered Away is an imaginative work about a monastic order of data-crunchers isolated in an authoritarian society. In Doctorow’s classic style, it’s got a healthy mix of really cool sci-fi concepts integrated into a life that’s not far away, with a strong focus on privacy, the state, surveillance, and some action. It’s also a pretty good spy thriller!
