We watched this on the 11th of February, 2024, on Prime, in the living room of the shared house.
I quite enjoyed it - it’s as heavy-handed and on the nose as Dream Scenario, or Don’t Look Up, and I actually groaned at some parts, but it’s also really quite funny sometimes, with satire that bites, and some of the subplots were very touching.
I really wanted to see the big speech at the end, but their meta trick of making it a movie pitch and then showing the alternate endings of a) him making up with his girlfriend or b) him getting shot by the FBI seemed like a cop out.
The best part for me was his struggle to relate to other people. It was barely fleshed out, but it was the most emotionally compelling.
